1 Year Older and Wiser Too

Yesterday was my 25th birthday. It was one of those days where Chad said Happy Birthday first thing in the morning and I had completely forgotten. It actually really brightened my day. People have asked if I liked having my birthday so close to Christmas and growing up, it really didn't bother me. Yet once I got into college, its started to bother me. I would get really gloomy and felt strange teenaged angst, I would rather not talk about it...but this year, I was happy to have a birthday. And Chad has always made my birthdays so special, even through the teenage angst years, again, i don't want to talk about it...

I spent the day going to work for the morning and then getting some lunch with my mother and sisters. We got Mexican food and it really hit the spot, I had been craving it. Per my own request, I wanted the night to be quiet and to just stay home so we had Coke Slurpies (thats right, they are totally caffeinated and tasted beyond good, sorry Geddy) and watched the second season of Community (I got it for my Birthday). We laughed and ate treats until I fell asleep on the couch. It was a great Birthday :)

After sleeping in, I woke up and ate some remaining Skittles for breakfast and watched some more Community. I think this was a Mormon version of a hangover. So wonderful. It felt great. We got to watch the Advanced Dungeons and Dragons episode and it too felt so good. Brilliant.

Senor Chang as a Dark Elf

Pierce: "I won Dungeons and Dragons and it was Advanced!"

Along with Community, I also got some clothes (that I can't wear yet because of ye ol' belly) and Chad got me beautiful flowers and a plethora of magazines (its a tradition). I thank Chad for always making my birthday so special, he is always so thoughtful and does an AMAZING job.

Happy hangover Sunday!
