Storage Wars Review

Have you ever heard of Storage Wars? Its one of A&E's most successful shows. When people aren't able to pay for their storage units after a certain amount of time, they auction off the unit and all their stuff. The show follows a few people who go to storage auctions as a profession, it is their livelihood. The show reminds me of Antique Roadshow on crack. Its interesting to see what the people find in these abandoned units and how much money they are able to make off of it.

My first run in with the show was at my in-laws house. My brother-in-law was watching it and it seemed SO strange to me. So unappealing at first. Then we finished watching an episode and I quite liked it. Turns out the entire first season is on Netfilx so Chad and I decided to give it a try.

My personal favorite Buyer would have to be Barry. Unlike the others who try to sell their findings for profit, Barry is a collector and just wants to find cool stuff. He is eccentric and rather funny.

My least favorite? That would have to be Jarrod and Brandi. They are a couple who own a thrift store and are so mean to each other. They are constantly putting each other down and it makes me wonder why they have an intimate relationship. I feel like they should have counseling rather than airing their dirty laundry on television.

My final ruling on the show is definitely positive. Though an odd idea, its been a big hit and has kept Chad and I captivated as we relax at night. If you haven't seen the show, I suggest giving it a gander. I think you'll be surprised!

Happy Monday!
