Lagoon

As mentioned, Chad and I got to go to Lagoon on Friday. WITHOUT the baby boy. Our original plan was to just bring the little dude along but after discussing it with the loveliest Abby, she insisted on baby sitting for us.

Isn't that the nicest thing ever? She literally said that she wanted to watch him for 6 hours just because she loves us. The woman is a saint and one of my favorite people ever. Everyone should have an Abbyquela (a nickname I gave her in college).

We felt like spring chicks going and having a good time on the roller coasters. I really love roller coasters and Lagoon is the probably the funnest place in...Utah.

While enjoying our time at Lagoon, we splurged and bought food there. It was ridiculously expensive but rather satisfying. I love carnival/fair food and the food there is pretty much the same thing. I have never had the opportunity to enjoy a funnel cake and when we saw the kiosk, I knew I had to try one! At Lagoon, they top their funnel cakes with powdered sugar, whip cream, and strawberries. They were AMAZING. Deep fried dough covered with an assortment of basically sugar, you can't go wrong. I will say the strawberries were slightly mysterious but the fruity sweetness was still appreciated.

We also got corn dogs, fries, and cokes (the cokes are tradition). My husband NEVER drinks carbonation so the fact that he got one is pretty astonishing. We had to document it. There was also a picture of me eating a corn dog but it was my worst angle ever so I decided to spare you the horror.

It was such a good time, I am so grateful that we were able to go and just act like kids again. Once we returned, Chad and I were so worn out. Even today we are still tired from staying up too late and being in the sun. It feels like Summer.

Happy Sunday!

Oh how fun! I'm so glad you guys got to enjoy it alone! And I'm sure Geddy enjoyed taking naps in his bed, rather than wrestling with a stroller all day. Abby is the bomb.com. I'm bringing that phrase back, by the way.
