Wedding Anniversary Celebrations

On Friday, Chad and I celebrated our 5th Wedding Anniversary. This was special, I feel like 5, even though fairly small, is quite a landmark in our marriage. We have been through a lot but being with my best friend makes all the crap bearable, ya know?

Though its always nice to go out of town to celebrate, its a bit of a challenge with a little one. SO, little dude went and hung out with Grandpa de Lisle for a little bit while we hit the town. Chad and I enjoyed some dinner and then headed to the "Chalk the Block" that was happening at the Riverwoods in Provo. The event was really fun. They block off part of the parking lot and section it off so people can come and draw pictures with chalk. We saw some that were pretty incredible, I was blown away. How can someone just draw like that, fascinating.

I thought this Princess one was rather cute.

But to be honest, the main reason we were drawn to the event was for the Waffle Love Truck. I have heard so many people rave about it, so Chad and I journeyed to find it and get some of its Waffle goodness (the truck parks at different locations everyday, SO neat). While we waited in a good sized line, we enjoyed some good quality people watching.

The design on the truck is pretty spectacular.

The hype of Waffle Love was completely deserving. It was unbelievably delightful. Chad and I both got Waffles with Nutella and whip cream. He had bananas on his and I chose strawberries. Yum. If you haven't had one, get one. The waffle is subtly sweet and a little chewy while the whip cream is homemade and fluffy. Such a treat.

So good!

Happy Campers on our Anniversary.

This Anniversary was such a delight. Can't wait til next year!

Happy Tuesday!
