Getting To Know You

Survey time! I love when other people post surveys about themselves. It may seem a bit conceded but you know you love reading them.

On a side note, your know the movie "The King and I"? The old movie? Well, there is a song called "Getting to Know You" and its a song that I have sang to Geddy several times. He loves it. And it makes me smile because I feel like I am getting to know him a little bit everyday. We snagged this picture of him as we were getting him out of his car seat the other day. Look at his little hand! He fell asleep holding onto the handle. Love it.

Love him.

ANYWAY, onto the time waster!

What song do you love to dance to?
Lots of different songs but one that comes to mind is Sleepyhead by Passion Pit. Although, you will never see me dance. I am far too shy!

If you could have a drink with someone from history, who would it be?
Ha, lots of people will probably think this is lame but I would want to speak with Kurt Cobain, Elliott Smith, or J.R.R. Tolkien. And I am sure many more people but those popped into my head right away.

What is the funniest thing you have heard a child say?
One of my darling nephews was being potty trained a few years back and had an accident at Grandma's house. He was so upset with himself, as he was walking down the stairs he said quietly to himself "I can't believe I did that". He was so disappointed in himself. I don't mean to laugh at his disappointment but it was just so darn cute.

If you could live in another county for 2 years, where would you go?
England. Or anywhere in the UK. I know, I don't branch out much but thats where I would choose.

Do you believe in God?
You better believe I do.

What is the worst physical pain you have ever been in?
Contractions. They were my nightmare. I was blown away by how painful they were.

In what way are your parents out of date?
Ha, yes, let me count the ways. There are too many. BUT I must say that their "out of date"-ness is partially why they are so wonderful. I wouldn't change a thing!

What is your favorite salty snack?
Holy crap, I have been OBSESSED with the new Salsa and Queso Cheetos. Like disgustingly obsessed, where I have eaten an entire bag in one day. No joke. Its a problem. They are divine.

What are you afraid of?
Oh golly. I am a huge worrier so this could take days. But to keep it short I will say that I have a big fear of heights and I don't like things to touch my neck. I flinch violently if something does.

When you were little, what did you want to be when you grew up?
I wanted to be a Wedding Planner, which is odd because I am now quite shy and don't really like parties.

What was the last thing you lost and later found?
I am sure a baby sock or pacifier but more specifically, I lost our house keys and later found them at the bottom of the diaper bag (even though I checked there multiple times!).

What is the saddest movie?
I've seen a lot of movies and one that always gets to me is Romeo and Juliet (the Leonardo DiCaprio version). I really loved the movie but because it made me so sad, I choose not to re-watch it. But there are lots of movies that make me feel tender, like Fox and the Hound and Dumbo! I can't watch those, no way, I am too big of a softy.

What makes you lose hope for humanity?
The television program Jersey Shore.

What makes you laugh?
Everything. I laugh all the time. I am totally a nervous laugher as well. If someone tells me something crazy, even if its unfortunate, I will laugh because I am in shock. I have gotten some weird reactions because of it. I don't mean to laugh at another person's pain, its just how I react/deal with stuff.

Do you have any brothers or sisters?
5 Brothers, 2 Sisters. I am the baby of my family. But I also have friends and in-laws that seriously feel like siblings. Its wonderful.

What would be your dream vehicle?
Oddly enough, a Volvo Station Wagon. Yep, I'm a boring Mom now.

I would be happy with a newer model but this one just looked dope. Via

What was the last thing you ate that you really shouldn't of?
This one time, I ate Tiramisu and it was the most amazing dessert ever. I later found out there was stuff in there I shouldn't have eaten. Oops :)

Who was the last person you spoke to that you didn't want to talk to?
Ha! Me being the social butterfly that I am....(I laugh nervously because I am so not). I don't really know, this happens to me all the time though.

When was the last time you cried laughing and why?
Oh geez, I don't even remember. I am sure it involved a late night with Chad and Aj, indulging in treats from 711. And it was probably a semi-inappropriate joke.

There you have it! Do you feel like you know me any better?

Happy Thursday!

Hil

I love it when people do surveys! Jersey Shore makes me cringe, as do those Kardashians. Mom and Dad are definitely old-fashioned, and yet some of the happiest people I know!
