A Chocolate Chip Cookie

Yesterday I felt like a 50's housewife because we had a Sunday Pot Roast for dinner and homemade Chocolate Chip Cookies for dessert. Many know that I love desserts. Correction, I love any sweet treat. I am a sugar fiend, I love it. Even with such an aggressive sweet tooth, I am not an avid chocolate chip cookie (CCC) fan. When I think of them, I go "meh". Not to say I haven't tasted some really great CCC but I don't crave them or have a passion for them like many other desserts and treats.

The spouse was hankering for some CCC this weekend. But he prefers them without any chocolate chips. Weird right? He likes them completely plain, just the cookie part. That to me is totally bogus because I only eat them for the chocolate. But I wanted to please the Mr. so I made a batch of cookie and left out the chocolate in half of them. I must say, there is something so nostalgic about a warm CCC. And eating the batter! Oh, it was delightful indeed. We just used the recipe on the back of the chocolate chip bag, nothing fancy, but they hit the spot!

And of course, you have to have them with a glass of milk. What a delight.

Happy Cookie Eating Monday!

I had a co-worker once who didn't like cheese. CHEESE. That makes about as much sense as Chad wanting a CCC minus the first two C's. Ya'll are crazy!
