|No, that is not a little boy wearing a pink shirt. |
That's me and my older sister (and one of my best friends), Haley.
She obviously got the cute gene (and the hair growing gene).
Today is my Birthday. Happy Birthday, Hil!
I am gonna be super honest, year 26 was bogus. It truly was. I had some real lows and can confidently say that I have grown the most this year than ever before. I have been humbled and have felt broken at times but have also learned the worth of so much. I have seen the work of God in my life and it has brought a great deal of happiness and peace. Funny how times can be both hard and glorious. Am I right?
There is so much more of my life to come and I am equally excited and nervous for it. I know that I can withstand the things that come my way and hope to do so gracefully. I have goals that I want to reach, things I want to learn and wrinkles I want to earn. I am excited to have a another year under my belt because I think they are just making me a better, more well rounded and open minded person.
I hope that the trials I have faced can fill me with more compassion for others. To have an open mind of how I am different but that I can help those who may need it. That I can be more understanding of what my son needs from me and realize the fact that, frankly, he doesn't have my exact same personality and may need a different way of learning things or expressing himself.
Year 27 is going to be a good year! I know it will.
