Belated Thanksgiving Post

Because Chad and I are so blessed to have our families very close, we always have people to celebrate the Holidays with! But, it does mean that we don't do a lot with just our little family so this year, we tried to add a day where we just did our own thing. So, on Wednesday, the day before Thanksgiving, we did our own little Turkey dinner.

I saw this recipe for Crock Pot Turkey Breast and thought I would give it a try. I have never cooked Turkey and am totally intimidated by it but this recipe seemed really simple, so we gave it a try. And honestly, it was really tasty and MEGA easy!

Our crock pot Turkey!

We also had mashed potatoes, stuffing and asparagus  Then we finished with one of my favorites, Pumpkin Chocolate Chip Cupcakes with Cream Cheese Frosting. Yum. I was so pleasantly surprised with how our simple Turkey Dinner turned out. Very pleasant.

Perfect for Thanksgiving!

Sadly, the next morning (Thanksgiving Day), I was SO sick. Something didn't sit well in my stomach and I ended throwing up a bunch. So, when we went to eat at my Sister's house, all I could do was eat a roll, green bean casserole, and this incredible pomegranate punch. That's it, I was so sad. What a sad way to celebrate my gratitude! Ha.

Overall, our Thanksgiving was fabulous. We stayed in on Black Friday because, I believe you have to be mentally ill to want to go out with all those people (that's just my anxiety talking, I'm sure it's a good time for many people). Now we are ready for Christmas AND MY BIRTHDAY ON THE 17TH. Did I drop a big enough hint people?

Happy Friday!

Hil, your turkey breast looks so professional! Wow! Nice work. I'm so sorry that you had tummy troubles on Thanksgiving day. That is so sad.
