Ringing of the Bell (Both Funny and Serious)

A while back, I saw this quote on Pinterest and it was like a ringing bell went off in my head.

It is so true. Geddy took a late nap today and I should go wake him up but I am almost afraid to. Isn't that bizarre? I am mildly afraid of my 2 year old (nearly 2). Our little dude has been wildly unpredictable lately. Not eating anything, then eating everything. Throwing himself on the floor like he's been shot when he sees a tense part in a Disney movie. It's all very dramatic and frankly, I don't know what to do sometimes. But, I'm doing my best and hoping for a good turn out.

I also came across this quote, which was all too moving to not share.

You're a wise man Atticus Finch. Actually, I should say "you're a wise woman Harper Lee!". Get it girl with all your wisdom! This year has been kind of an ugly one, to be honest. Lot's of chaos and lot's of opportunities to be courageous. Most the time though, I was forced to be courageous or jump ship by saying "I don't even need this job" but alas, it wasn't the right thing to do. And I know this is all so cryptic and you may be wondering "what is she referring too?" but honestly, the details are in the past and all that is needs to be know is that none of it had to do with me or Chad or Geddy. We are good and happy and strong (and hope and pray and work hard, so that continues).

I think courage is most often a choice, it's saying "Yes, I can" instead of "maybe, we'll see". It's looking at a situation with a different lens and truly determining where you stand and what will define you. But Atticus' definition is pretty spot on too.

Happy Wednesday!

I love "To Kill a Mockingbird." I re-read it a couple of years ago and it was amazing. After reading it I wanted to name my son Atticus. He's such an amazing character. Have you seen the really old movie with Henry Fonda and Robert Duvall? It's fabulous.
